World Series Game 6: Rangers vs Cardinals low score?
The hype of the Texas Rangers vs St Louis Cardinals World Series Game 6 intensifies. The atmosphere of anticipation gets higher as the two teams will have a gigantic collision in the World Series.
St Louis Cardinals may have failed too many opportunities in Game 5 but still they have the homefield advantage to carry on. In Game 6, Cardinals will be surrounded by thousands of fans cheering for them to have a World Series Game 7.
Manager Tony La Russa blew some decision makings in the bullpen, but he will not let anything to destruct him at home. He will not be making suche mistakes especially that his team’s back is against the wall. La Russa must have prepared Game 6 for the Cardinals to win so that there will be Game 7 for Chris Carpenter to start.
On the other hand, Texas Rangers time to shine as this title evaded them last year. Nothing is more important for the Rangers but World Series Game 6. If the Rangers can produce much offense, then it will be the task of the Cardinals to match it.
Without rain delay this time, the Texas Rangers will have to be focused on their offense to provide them the necessary runs for the victory. Yes, they were humiliated last year by the SF Giants but they are a game away to get the trophy to their side.
Is this a pitching duel or a semi Game 3 in which a team will explode with runs that the starting pitchers will be thrown out early? The Cardinals want to have another Game 3 but it will not happen if the Rangers are ready for the title.
In the last two games, Rangers won it all in the last innings with great bullpen and through the magnificent performance of catcher Mike Napoli as he did the damage in Game 4 and Game 5 for the Rangers to have the edge in the series.
Because of the potent lineup of the Rangers like Adrian Beltre, Josh Hamilton, and Nelson Cruz, Napoli is the No. 8 hitter. He may not be in the spotlight before the World Series but he maneuvered himself of becoming a star as he delivered the wins for his team.
What a trade made by the Rangers getting Napoli from the Blue Jays who was traded by the Angels. He is the rising star of the Rangers as he drilled in two runs bases loaded Monday night in the eight inning breaking the tie en route to a 4-2 victory against the Cardinals. In Game 4, he drilled in also three run homer for the Rangers to victory in 4-0 tight game.
Napoli will be the World Series MVP if the Rangers will capture the title. He also will intimidate the pitchers of the Cardinals this moment of time because of his past two games performances.
With two home runs and nine RBI’s, Napoli exceeded the expectations of millions of Rangers fans and even the baseball world. He is the player who will be remembered for his resiliency in the World Series.
St Louis Cardinals backs are against the wall as they suffered two heart-breaking games, even Chris Carpenter couldn’t help it. Tony LaRussa took all the blame on his Game 5 bullpen mess that allowed the Rangers to grab the opportunity.
Surely there was a miscommunication! That’s what La Russa stated in what actually happened in a pivotal game that the Cardinals will never forget if they have to lose the World Series. La Russa is being outsmarted by Ron Washington in calling his bullpen.
St Louis Cardinals will start Jaime Garcia as he was 9-4 in the regular season with a 2.55 ERA. However, he can bring the necessary pitching capability just to tame the Rangers batters at home. Garcia has to be focused on his deliver and not on how intimidating the line up of the Rangers are.
Meanwhile, the Rangers will start Colby Lewis who will be making his fourth postseason start. With his record, 1-1 with a 2.95 ERA, he pitched pretty good just for the Rangers to win Game 2. He absolutely limited the scoring ability of he Cardinals by allowing four hits in 6 2/3 innings. He never let Lance Berkman, and Nick Punto to make the damage on the offense.
Lewis is proven in the postseason as he had a 4-1 record including last year’s post season. He played great on the road and he is designed to pitch on the road for the Rangers. If he can stop Albert Pujols in Game 6, then he will absolutely provide the World Series title for the Rangers.
Can Pujols win this for the Cardinals? The answer is No! Pujols may receive intentional walks in Game 6 of World Series. Rangers will not allow him to kill them at the end that they will walk him. Pujols needs his teammates to make the necessary offense for the team. His teammates like Berkman must have to explode for Pujols to be effective in this game.
