Super Bowl 2012: Tom Brady to become the greatest QB Ever?

Milestones will be achieved as NFL records will be broken. Tom Brady will engraved his name as the greatest quarterback ever if the Patriots will win the Super Bowl 46 on February 5, 2012. Several years ago, the debate surrounded on “who’s better Brady or Manning” but it is clear that this Super Bowl, it is completely shifted to “Brady as the greatest QB of all time”.

Here are the facts that can be considered why he ends up the QB of all time if he wins.

1. Four out of Five Super Bowls – To count his rings into four, in the new era of NFL he will tie Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw in that number. Some can argue that Brady losses one Super Bowl and four-of-four of Montana is better than four-of-five. Wait a minute, at least Brady reached in that Super Bowl though he did not win while Montana never been on a fifth. Brady will absolutely make the case as being on top over his childhood idol Montana.

2. He will surpass Montana in most playoff wins – As of now, Brady and Montana are tied with 16 wins in the playoffs. With a Super Bowl 2012 win, Brady will have a better number. Surely, he will win the throne of the best playoff player of all time.

3. He tied John Elway with five Super Bowl appearances – What Brady accomplished in beating the Ravens was being in the same level of Elway with five Super Bowl games. This shows that Brady has the strong case that he even at the same level as Elway and won already more than Elway.

4. His stats proved that he is up there, breaking Dan Marino’s yards in a single season – After winning his three Super Bowls, Brady was below the spotlight and he was not even be in the conversation because statistically, he was not that great. In 2004 alone, he ended up 10th in yards, sixth in touchdowns and his quarterback rating was sour. His statistics was just not good to be compared to the quarterbacks at that time. Many believed that he won super bowls just because of getting help from the Patriots defense. However, he won two MVP’s, broke NFL record with 50 touchdowns, this season broke Dan Marino’s record in terms of yardage in a single season. Patriots already is not all about defense but offense that Brady leads the team with high numbers.

This season, he surpassed Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas and tied John Elway on the all-time touchdown list. What a feat. Brady has a lot of years left in his NFL career but this is the moment for him to be the greatest ever.

There’s also the NFL fans acceptance that Brady didn’t have the luxury of having the best weapons in his offense unlike Montana having Jerry Rice. A win of Brady will make him the Best Ever QB of all time.
