Suns vs Lakers: Kobe Bryant scores 48

Kobe Bryant age is not slowing him down as he drilled in 48 points for the Los Angeles Lakers to beat the Phoenix Suns 99-83 Tuesday. It was a game in which he had the touch of t he basket for the Lakers to win their seven straight at home

Bryant has been dominant in the last five game that he scored 25 above. Currently, he is the NBA’s leading scorer. The 48 point mark set by Bryant is the most in the early season of the NBA. He was 18 of 31 from the floor and he also converted 12 of his 13 free throw opportunities.

It was a game in which the Lakers changed gear in the fourth quarter as they had scored 26-15. They put the clamp on the defense that the Suns running game couldn’t materialize. This was a real test for the Lakers yet they made it sure that they can play at home and that they can win. In a conference that all teams are finding their identity, the Lakers showed the world tonight that they have the form of being the best team in the West. However, this is all be dependent on the game of Bryant who was observed as not on his peak anymore because his legs are slower than before.

Paul Gasol added 16 points and 13 rebounds while Andrew Bynum had 12 points and eight rebounds. The twin tower of the Lakers played well to compliment that of Bryant’s performance. Meanwhile, Matt Barnes this time had only 4 points as he couldn’t make his shots.

For the Phoenix Suns, Steve Nash drilled in 13 points and eight assists but his performance was not enough to spark the team in the fourth quarter. Channing Frye mad 17 points while Marcin Gortat scored 16 points and 12 rebound. Still the Suns are below .500 that they wanted to change the atmosphere of their performances.
