Saints vs Rams: St Louis stuns New Orleans
The St Louis Rams completely stunned the New Orleans Saints en route to a 31-21 victory as Steven Jackson carried 25 times for 159 yards and two touchdowns against the weak defense of the Saints.
Jackson played with such power on his legs as he found gaps and spaces on New Orleans rushing defense that enabled the Rams to control the time of possessions.
Furthermore, AJ Feely orchestrated the offense for the Rams as he completed 20 of 37 passes for 175 yards. He successfully drilled on those passes as the team needed.
Brandon Lloyd caught six passes for 53 yards including a touchdown reception while Greg Salas had five receptions for 47 yards as the Rams were consistent in having a balance offense.
Meanwhile, New Orleans Saints have the passing game as quarterback Drew Brees completed 30 of 44 passes for 269 yards with one touchdown. However, Brees performance was marred by two interceptions that allowed the Rams to take time on the offense.
Brees distributed the ball well to his receivers like L. Moore who caught seven passes for 74 yards and D. Sproles with six catches for 60 yards. Furthermore, M. Colston had three catches for 50 yards and J. Graham had four catches for 39 yards.
The Saints rushing offense didn’t make anything great to help the team into a victory instead yet another defeat.
St Louis Rams first win in seven games as the team continues to look for life in the next half of the season.
