Nadal struggled early in the first set but he persevered with his mental ability to make the move winning three consecutive sets not in an easy fashion. Nadal will again face his greatest enemy in the world of tennis and only Nadal has the sight of chasing the 16 Grand Slams of Federer.
For the first time since 2005 that a Federer-Nadal in the Semifinals as they are not ranked 1 and 2 this time around. Most of the previous grand slam tournaments, Nadal and Federer were the No 1 and No 2 seeds.
