Pro Bowl 2012 Start Time: A prelude to Super Bowl 46

Interest for football? A game before the Super Bowl. A week before the biggest football game of the year, Pro Bowl has been the appetizer as the NFL players not in the Super Bowl will be playing on Sunday at 7:00 PM ET. It is the counterpart of the NBA and MLB’s All Star games with the exemption that players selected from the two Super Bowl bound teams will not be in uniform.

An opportunity for the fans to see their favorite players one more time in the battle for the AFC vs NFC Pro Bowl players. Of course the rosters of both AFC and NFC will have to show forth what they got with other players from other teams. Though there are many observers who are set in not watching this game because of lack of physicality but instead a high scoring base on the past Pro Bowls.

Ben Roethliberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be the starter of the AFC as Tom Brady will be playing in the Super Bowl. For the NFC, Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers will be the anchor of the team. These two quarterbacks who played in Super Bowl 45 will be the starters of the Pro Bowl, what a coincidence. A time for both players to reminisce their Super Bowl 2011 experience.

NFL decided three years ago to move the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl to get more interest. The tradition in the past was that it always scheduled before the super bowl and that it was not captivating the fans to tune in.

Here are the wide receivers for the AFC: A.J. Green of Cincinnati, Mike Wallace of Pittsburgh, Brandon Marshall of Miami, and Vincent Jackson of San Diego. NFC comprises of Larry Fitzgerald of Arizona, Steve Smith of Carolina, Greg Jennings of Green Bay, Calvin Johnson of Detroit, and Roddy White of Atlanta. Though not all of these players will be playing because of injuries.

Of course the Pro Bowl 2012 will not be interesting if there’s no running backs. Maurice Jones-Drew of Jacksonville will be the starter of AFC while LeSean McCoy of Philadelphia for NFC. Expect these two players to play with passion.

What will transfix the viewers will be the presence of Drew Brees for the NFC. It is just surprising to see Rodgers and Brees playing in the Pro Bowl. A high octane offense for the NFC as the two quarterbacks will be playing. Pro Bowl 2012 Game Time is at 7:00 PM ET. Pro Bowl 2012 tv channel coverage is on NBC.
