Poinsettia Bowl 2011 TCU vs Louisiana Tech football Start Time, TV Channel, Score and Updates

The Poinsettia Bowl 2011 creates much of the interest because of the showdown of TCU vs Louisiana Tech football. By being in the BCS the last two years, TCU Horned Frogs have gathered fans and spectators alike to watch this prestigious Poinsettia Bowl.

TCU Horned Frogs derailed the season of the Boise State Broncos but they also suffered unexpected defeats that denied their chances of getting into another BCS game. TCU vs Louisiana Tech football game will surely be anticipated as these two teams are ready to play in the football field at the Qualcomm Stadium.

TCU has been a team the created much of the conversation and attention because of the way they played undefeated in two consecutive years. Not this time around for the Horned Frogs. Once there was Andy Dalton (now with the Cincinnati Bengals), but still TCU is in the verge of playing better each game since they suffered blows from Baylor in the opening day and to SMU on October 21. However, the Horned Frogs have risen to the occasion by winning seven consecutive games. It is significant to find out how this them elevates the way they played as they keep winning.

The biggest victory so far for the the Horned Frogs was the game against Boise State. It was a game that destroyed the chances of the Broncos to be in the national title conversation and even to be in the BCS game. It was a tight game that paved the way to win the Mountain West Conference. The Frogs never came through to the top 14 of the BCS Standings because of their weak schedule and their losses but they have to make certain that this game will have an impact for their preparation for next year.

TCU is lucky to have Casey Pachall as the quarterback as he delivered in times that the team needed. Pachall accumulated 2,715 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. It is clear that he is a quarterback that can pass the ball with such accuracy and precision. His 24 to 6 ratio in TD / interception is one of the best in college football. Pachall must play his A-game for the Horned Frogs to capture the Poinsettia Bowl. He needs to be aggressive enough so that he can keep the offense in flow so that they can move the chains.

In the receiving end Josh Boyce had 932 yards while Skye Dawson added 41 yards in the air. These are the two favorite receivers of Pachall as he drilled in 13 of his 24 touchdowns to this two players. Boyce has the leaping ability to keep himself in catching the ball easier while Dawson has the speed to extricate himself from his defenders. What brings TCU to a dominant team is the passing game that surely has the advantage over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, the passing attack is just only one of the arsenals of the Frogs. Throughout the season they also have the rushing attacks that can totally confuse the opponents. Waymon James rushed 107 times for 824 yards that includes six touchdowns while Matthew Tucker had 684 yards in 116 rushes. The running game of TCU cannot be denied as it brings the Frogs the avenue to be offensively minded to the highest of their capabilities. Defensively, the Frogs allowed 12 points per game that they can strongly conrol the offense of their opponents.

Poinsettia Bowl 2011 of TCU Horned Frogs football vs Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will surely create the atmosphere of unpredictability for the spectators. We have to add the fact that the Bulldogs can absolutely topple the Frogs because of the preparation in the last two weeks.

Lousiana Tech is not a pushover team as they won eight games in the regular season. They have the offensive firepower to desparage the defense of the Horned Frogs. As a team, the Bulldogs averages 30 points a game and 397 yards that can still rise into their potential. Surely, this Poinsettia Bowl will provide the most exciting offense for the Bulldogs as they keep on trusting Colby Cameron.

In five games, Cameron accumulated 1,403 yards and 11 touchdowns. Cameron absolutely altered the composition of the offense and that he made this team more attractive on the passing game. Also his leadership provided the lift and stability of the players to compete with determination in every game most specially this Poinsettia Bowl 2011.

Brandon Patterson is the primary target of Cameron while Taulib Ikharo is the second target. Patterson caught 74 times with 1135 yards to make him one of the few players to reach the 1,000 mark in receiving. On the other hand, Ikharo also caught 50 times for 496 yards. Cameron will have to find ways to throw the ball to these two great receivers.

In the rushing game, Lennon Creer had 838 yards while Hunder Lee had 586 yards to compliment each other. This shows that LA Tech has the balance offensive attacks against the tight defense of the Horned Frogs.

Poinsettia Bowl will provide us exactly what we wanted: the offense of the Bulldogs against the defense of the Frogs. This will be the main attraction in this Poinsettia Bowl football game.
