Reavie needed just to par the 18th hole to win the competition but he failed to do it by putting for a bogey. He manage to pull off a 5-under par performance shooting for four birdies in the back nine, and two birdies in the front nine. He roared like a lion in the back nine but his mistake in the final hole might cause him the title.
Meanwhile, Webb Simpson made a staggering comeback by shooting 6-under par for the final round as he made the climb in the front nine with four birdies and an eagle. His touches was working enough that he started to think about winning the Deutsche Championship but he struggled in back nine until he made the birdie in the 18th hole. Day continued to search for birdies in the final round and he made four birdies but he had also a bogey that affected his scoring. Day was so aggressive in the front nine but he missed some birdie opportunities.
Brandt Snedeker was the player who climbed strongly in his front nine when he shot for 6-under par but he faded away in the back nine giving up the touch and the precision when he had three bogeys and two birdies. He finished the tournament at 13-under par tied with Day.
World’s No 1 player Luke Donald played solidly in the front nine shooting for 6-under par having all the momentum to be a contender for the title. However, he didn”t make the necessary moves when he made mistakes in the 12th hole drilling in for double bogey. He also followed it with a bogey until he made a birdie in the back nine. Donald had the chances in back nine to topple the field but that’s all he could do. He ended up at 13-under par for the tournament, 4-under par for the final round.

Meanwhile, third round leader Bubba Watson faded into oblivion as he couldn’t make the necessary shots in the final round. He shot for 3-over par drilling in seven bogeys, two birdies, and an eagle to complete his day. He doesn’t have the firepower that he had yesterday. Watson felt the pressure of being the last person to take off.
Jerry Kelly also had a dismal fourth round shooting for 1-over par. He had three birdies, two bogeys, and a double bogey. Kelly found himself most of the time in saving putts that he had few opportunities for birdies.
For those who are looking for Phil Michelson, he managed to make three birdies in the front nine but he eventually satisfied in the back nine making a bogey, all pars. He finished at 2-under par for the day, 9-under par for the tournament. Ernie Els couldn’t make the right move as he finished 1-under par for the day, 8-under par for the competition. Els didn’t have the touch and the accuracy on his putts as his approaches on all the holes mostly were not effective. He drilled in three birdies and two bogeys, the rest pars.
Charl Schwartzel was on of the players who was at one point playing well in the previous rounds but he failed to finish it right shooting 2-over par for the day, finishing 7-under par for the tournament.
