Packers vs Falcons: Green Bay offense is tough

The Atlanta Falcons vs Green Bay Packers is a contentious game in the NFC South on Sunday Night Football. After suffering the defeat in last years playoff game, the Atlanta Falcons find themselves in a difficult position to topple the No 1 team in the NFL.

Atlanta Falcons do not have the best start that they expected but a win in today’s game will alter the course of the NFC South. Falcons need to make noise in the division as the Packers are becoming unstoppable.

In the previous game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Atlanta Falcons survived narrowly from the rally through the magnificent performance of quarterback Matt Ryan as he completed 28 of 42 passes for 291 yards and one touchdown. Ryan had been struggling before that game and he knows exactly how disappointing that loss against the Packers seven months ago that he will have to perform better.

Julio Jones had 11 receptions for 127 yards while Roddy White compiled 78 yards in six catches for the Falcons on the air. Furthermore, tight end Tony Gonzalez had seven catches for 56 yards.

Ryan must navigate through the weak defense of the Packers specifically on the air. He must accurately hit his receivers so that his team will have a chance in beating the Packers.

Another facet of the game that the Falcons must improve is the defense. Falcons must be able to stop the passing game of the Packers in any means. They must slow down that raging offense to make the game tight until the end.

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers do not need to slow down in their bid for another Super Bowl. The Packers know exactly where they are as the team continuously have the success as being one of the two undefeated teams in the NFL.

The success of the Packers can be attributed to their quarterback Aaron Rodgers who pulled off a career high 408 yards against the Denver Broncos and he posted four passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns also becoming the first NFL player to do that.

Rodgers knows how to execute the high powered offense of the Packers that the team can defeat any kind of defense including that shootout against the Saints in the season opener.

Against the Broncos last week, Rodgers completed 29 of 38 passing for 408 yards with that four touchdowns that surely led the team to victory. Rodgers also distributed his passes well.

Greg Jennings had seven receptions for 103 yards, Jordy Nelson had five receptions for 91 yards, and Randall Cobb with two receptions for 75 yards. Furthermore, James Jones had 48 yards and James Starks added 38 yards in receptions.

The Packers have the offensive arsenals in the NFL that would be hard to stop. But still the biggest question is how the Packers will defend the Atlanta Falcons. Packers defense yields 335 yards per game in passing making it 31st in the NFL.

If Atlanta Falcons can exploit the defense of the Packers, then we will have a game in our hands that will probably decided in the last two minutes. For the Packers, they can still win through their offense.

Packers vs Falcons kickoff time is at 8:20 PM ET at the Georgia Dome. We will provide you the Packers vs Falcons scores after the game.
