Orange Bowl Controversy? Not really, for these two teams are the winners of their respective conferences. However, their record shows that other teams might be better to be included in the BCS games but that’s what the rules in the selection process. Boyd had 3,578 total yards in passing while getting 31 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. He is the hinge that connects to increase the morale of the team to win as many games as they could.

What Boyd did to the Tigers is something that can be duplicated in the Orange Bowl 2012 as he navigates through the mouth of the West Virginia defense. Adding up to the success and effectiveness of Clemson football is the presence of Sammy Watkins who has 1,153 yards in total yards of receiving while tight end Dwayne Allen contributed to the advantage of Tigers by accumulating 577 yards on the air and eight touchdowns that made easier for the Boyd to flourish in this kind of offense.

Clemson Tigers is not all about the passing game. Tailback Andre Ellington is a big part of the offense that was installed in the Clemson team as he rushed 213 times for 1,062 yards with 10 touchdowns. He can derail the defense of West Virginia football as he imposes his will on the ground game. Of course he has the fresh and strong legs to do it. Winning this Orange Bowl must be realized also as the Tigers will have to make defensive stands against the Mountaineers that have the offensive weapons.

West Virginia Mountaineers were in a tight race for the Big East title but eventually they win it in a virtual tie. Riding themselves in a high note to finish the regular season, the Mountaineers can play the offensive game with speed and reliability. The spread offense of the Mountaineers will be the lethal weapon that they can apply against Clemson Tigers in the Sugar Bowl 2012. Coach Danan Holgorsen installed this kind of offense to alter the insight of millions of fans that were accustomed to – the rushing game. With the success of Mountaineers this season, the team ended up rank seventh in the nation in the passing game. A huge turnaround yet it was a season changing as the Mountaineers will play in the Orange Bowl.
