NFL Playoff Schedule: TV Channel Schedule, Game Time Peyton Manning is out, Will Tom Brady get his fourth ring?

Tom Brady might be benefited for Peyton Manning’s Denver loss to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday night. Ever since Brady got his third Super Bowl ring, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning have been always on his way to stop him get his fourth ring. Will this the be year for Brady?

The New England Patriots will face Houston Texans in Sunday’s AFC Divisional playoff game. The Patriots will be playing at home if they will be able to get pass through the Texans. This means a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game that Patriots won in slim margin against the Ravens. The Patriots haven’t lose any game when they are the host of the AFC Championship game. Surely, Brady is on the verge of entering into yet another Super Bowl year.

In the 2006 season of the NFL, Brady started to be defeated by the Mannings. Peyton Manning was the quarterback of the Colts when the Patriots led 21-6 at halftime in the AFC Championship game in Indianapolis. The Colts pulled of a remarkable rally to defeat the Patriots. Remember in 2007 when Brady led his team in a 16-0 record but in the Super Bowl, the Eli Manning led Giants beat the Patriots. It happened again last season when Eli upset the powerful Brady led Patriots.

Tom Brady has three more games to win this season to get his fourth ring that will tie some of the greats in the NFL. But this time, Brady will not have to worry of the Manning brothers anymore as they were out of the conversation for the Super Bowl contention. Brady will have his time to ponder on how he will beat the Houston Texans first in today’s game and then the Baltimore Ravens next week.

On Denver’s defeat

The buzz of last night’s game between the Broncos and the Ravens continues to be in the highest level. A shocking upset by the Ravens against Peyton Manning in double overtime. What a disgusted Manning who again failed to deliver the most important plays in his life. He had all the chances in the world in overtime when he was intercepted by cornerback Corey Graham that eventually be the starting point of of Denver to set up a 47-yard winning field goal.

The No 1 seed in the AFC, playing at home, was matched by the resurgence Baltimore Ravens. Surely, it is not Manning’s all to be blame in the loss but he had a chance to close it out. Despite of all the advantages by playing at home, the Broncos were succumb by Joe Flacco’s resiliency in hitting Jacoby Jones with a 70 yard touchdown, 31 seconds left in regulation. Denver loss will pave way for either the Patriots or the Texans to be the host in next week’s game.

The rise of Colin Kaepernick

The best story so far in the NFL Playoff schedule was the sterling performance of second year quarterback Colin Kaepernick as he eluded the rushing and passing defense of the Green Bay Packers. A single game post season record for Kaepernick as he rushed for 181 yards that shocked the defense of the Baltimore Ravens. He also added 263 yards in passing for 17 of 31 completion.

Not even Aaron Rodgers had the power to rise up into the occasion and match up the game of Kaepernick. Truly, the San Francisco 49ers will advance to the NFC Championship game to face either Seahawks or Falcons. Runningback Frank Gore added 119 yards in rushing in 23 carries.

Houston Texans vs New England Patriots Playoff Schedule – Texans vs Patriots 2013 4:30 PM Sunday

- For the Houston Texans, this is the game that they wanted and longed for to prove to the world that they haven’t lose the grip of being the No 1 in the AFC. What happened to the Texans not getting the No 1 seed despite of having an 11-1 record before December will be forgotten with a win. On the other hand, the New England Patriots will be utilizing their offense through quarterback Tom Brady who led the AFC with 4,4827 passing yards and 34 touchdowns.

It has been the statement of Brady and Bill Belichick that this is a different game that what they played several weeks ago when the Patriots trampled down Texans 42-14. It could be that both the quarterback and the coach have remembered how that New York Jets defeated them in the playoffs while winning a lopsided game in regular season. Brady has a record of 10-2 at home in the playoffs. That is why he has been through in five Super Bowl because he won those games. For the Patriots to win this game, it is not about Brady’s passing arsenal but on how the rushing offense will glide through the defense of the Texans who are seventh in the rushing defense yielding 97.5 per game.

The Houston Texans will rely on the shoulder of quarterback Matt Schaub as he will try to break the shallow passing defense of the Patriots. Furthermore, runningback Arian Foster will have to make himself conditioned to pound the ball on the ground. The Texans vs Patriots Playoff schedule will be breath-taking to watch. Who will win?

Seattle Seahawks vs Atlanta Falcons Playoff Schedule – Seahawks vs Falcons 2013 1:00 PM Sunday

Not an easy route for the Atlanta Falcons who cemented themselves as the No 1 team in the NFC because the Seattle Seahawks have the momentum riding in a seventh straight victory. Atlanta (13-) has never won in the playoffs in the previous four years in spite entering it thrice. This is the year for the Falcons to have a breakthrough and to get deeper into the playoffs.

Atlanta Falcons will rely on the passing game of quarterback Matt Ryan who will try to bring himself into the elite rank. Ryan according to many observers has all the quality of a franchise quarterback but he has yet to win a playoff game. He has to find his receivers like Roddy White, Julio Jones and tight end Tony Gonzales. The passing game of the Falcos ranked sixth in the NFL with 281.8 yards per game.

For the Seahawks, the defense will be main arsenal to destroy the offense of the Falcons. In the passing game, they are sixth yielding an average of 203.1 yards per game while 10th in rushing 103.1 yards per game. Furthermore, the rushing offense for the Seahawks is third in the NFL averaging 161.2 yards per game. The stats show that Seattle Seahawks have the edge in almost all the four major categories except for the offense.
