New York Jets retain Santonio Holmes, Randy Moss next?

By

Jets making the right move? The New York Jets want to make sure that they will be back in the AFC championship again as the team worked on the priority list in the NFL free agent, wide receiver Santonio Holmes.

According to reports, New York Jets deal amounts to $50 million with $24 million guaranteed for five years. The Jets has poured almost the money for Holmes that Braylon Edwards will not have the amount he wants to re-sign.

Holmes was given the importance because he has been a proven wide receiver. His speed defies his worth as played for the Jets. Holmes played magnificently in the past year as a Jets player. He was acquired by the Jets from the Steelers for a fifth round pick last season. Holmes was the MVP in the Super Bowl XLIII in which he caught a game winning touchdown.

Because of the move of Jets to retain Holmes, it is now expected that Edwards will be leaving and that the double threats in the wide for quarterback Mark Sanchez will be gone.

Will the New York Jets ever considered landing Randy Moss? If Edwards would have to leave, Jets will consider alternative option like the Moss scenario playing with Holmes. This would be a team to contend with but the risk is high with Moss who played in three teams last season with the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans.

Most career is in a decline that it will be a tough call for the Jets management.
