Matt Leinart out due to left shoulder injury: Texans vs Jaguars score
The trouble of the Houston Texans in the quarterback position was aggravated when quarterback Matt Leinart left the game in the second quarter with with a left shoulder injury.
Leinart didn’t return into the game and the Texans T.J. Yates as their quarterback. Leinart was hit in a tremendous force by defensive end Jeremy Mincey of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Leinart was given a chance to start the ball game because of the injured Matt Schaub. It is a new lease on life for Leinart but this untoward incident will eventually sideline him.
As of the moment, it is still unknown how severe the injury of Leinart as the game of Houston vs Jacksonville progresses.Leinare completed 10 of 13 passes for 57 yards with one touchdown. He controlled the game without turning the ball over.
We all know that the Texans relies much on the running game of Arian Foster who already rushed 21 times for 64 yards including a touchdown. Ben Tate added 26 yards in five carries.
For the Jaguars, Blaine Gabbert completed 13 of 21 passes for 136 yards with no touchdown, one interception. Maurice Jones Drew rushed 18 times for 99 yards as the Jaguars continue to come from behind.
With 4:15 left in the fourth quarter, Texans lead Jaguars 20-13.
Leinart completed 10 of 13 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown, a 20-yard pass to Joel Dreessen under heavy pressure. This is an important game for the Houston Texans to solidify themselves to enter the playoffs.
