Manchester City vs Everton: English Premier League Schedule
Manchester City is the biggest surprise in the English Premier League this season as it is contends with the Manchester United and Chelsea for the top position. Experts believe that Manchester City will race with these two teams all the way throughout the season.
Manchester City currently at the second place will host Everton in one of the games in the English Premier League on September 24. Man City just suffered an excruciating defeat in the hands of Fulham when they blew a 2-0 lead that went on a draw. Without a doubt, Manchester City’s domination continues as the team is now focused to play Everton. Having 13 points in four wins that include a draw, Man City is just hanging with the Manchester United. Meanwhile Everton is in the seventh place with seven points from two wins, a draw and a loss.
Manchester City parades their new player Owen Hargreaves, a former Manchester United midfielder. Hargreaves played in the game against Birmingham in the Carling Cup game last Wednesday in which he scored immediately on his debut. Hergreaves played only 11 minutes in the past three years but he provided an impact for the team. In that game Man City defeated Birmingham, 2-0.
With the team build up this season, it is obvious that City aims for the biggest prize in the Premier League. Manager Robert Mancini knows how he his team will battle up in every game just to make certain that at the end of the day his team is in contention for the prize.
Mancini will be tested in his managerial position as his team plays today and again on Tuesday for the Champions League against Bayern Munchin. It will make his team weary and it is tougher for him to make decision on his starters. Yes, he will not probably not enough players for these two games but he will decide on how the team will tackle Everton.
Manchester City truly did build a squad that has the lineup of making it the best in the Premier League. Will Manchester City have enough players to show up in today’s game? Playing two games in in four days would be too much for the players to handle.
On the other hand, Everton is just fresh from winning in last Wednesday’s game against West Brom, 2-1, in the Carling Cup. Surely, Everton will rely on Australian Tim Cahill to carry this team into victory in today’s game against Manchester City. After losing Mikel Arteta and Yakubu last summer, Cahill is left as the player who can be trusted enough by the team.
Manager David Moyes will have to make sure that he pushes the right buttons in this game to win against a much tougher team. If he makes the perfect decisions, then Everton will have the chance for an upset. However, Everton is undefeated in the last five games, winning three, and drawing two times. It would be foolish for Manchester City to relax in this game.
Though Everton is in the seventh place, it is a fact that the team defeated Manchester City 7 of 8 times. Yes, they just won three in a row that can control the minds of the Manchester City players having not beaten Everton for a while.
This might be the time that Everton will fail to continue their winning streak against Manchester City because of the lack of players on the rotation. Everton will be without Victor Anichebe and Louis Saha.
Can Everton keep winning against Manchester City? Or Will Manchester City dominate this game as the team shows the strength and power it has? Manchester City vs Everton scores will be available here after the game. Manchester City vs Everton kickoff time is at 12:45 PM.
