A LSU victory will absolutely make them the No 1 team in the college football and they will get one of the slots for the BCS title game. However, a victory for the Bulldogs will not provide us the security of the LSU Tigers to play in the BCS title game.

For Georgia, though the team doesn’t have any chance to be in the title game, a win here will secure the Bulldogs to be in one of the BCS games by winning the SEC. It would be a tough task to do but the Bulldogs are in 10 streak wins. They will have enough to subdue the top-ranked team in the college football.

One of the reasons why LSU will not be shaken regardless of a defeat because they defeated top ranked teams including No 2 Alabama, then No 3 Arkansas, and then No 4 Oregon Ducks. There’s is no other team that had a brutal schedule like the Tigers that they will be out of contention because of this game.

The previous game of these team was won by the Tigers, 20-13, in 2009 that broke the three game losing streak in the series. LSU Tigers know that they have to win this game to have an easy route to the national championship.

Coach Les Miles have to boost his team that this is a must win game for nobody knows where the Tigers fall if they will lose against Georgia. A win will not complicate the matters as the Tigers will be the No 1 without any question being raised.

The success of LSU can be attributed to the defense installed by Miles. LSU is second in the league in total defense in yards and scoring. The Tigers yield an average of 248 yards per game and 10.6 points per game.

Tigers defensive schemes tremendously is putting their opponents into awkward positions. Yes, the speed and athleticism of the LSU Tigers can stifle the offense of Georgia. Tigers can impose their will to negate the offensive options and that they thrive in winning games because of their defense.

Quarterback Jordan Jefferson will start for the offense of the Tigers. He may not have the chance to play all the games but his last three starts showed that he can play the quarterback position. He completed 45 of 70 passes for 654 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception. Jefferson also rushed 55 times for 253 yards. It is completely different if Jefferson plays with the option of running the ball for the Tigers offense will become unpredictable.

In the previous game against the No 3 Arkansas, Jefferson completed 18 of 29 passes for 208 yards. He has been comfortable in anchoring this offense as he added also 53 yards of rushing.

Most of the damage done by the Tigers offense was through the rushing game. Kenny Hilliard rushed 19 times for 102 yards while Michael Ford rushed 11 times for 96 yards. Spencer Ware added eight carries for 37 yards that paved the way for the Tigers to beat Arkansas.

If LSU will have to win this game, they have to play a balance offensive attacks to confuse the defense of the Bulldogs. Furthermore, defense is a must for the LSU Tigers. This Georgia vs LSU SEC championship football game will absolutely be important for both teams.

Georgia Bulldogs will have an opportunity to derail the perfect season of the LSU Tigers. After losing their first two games against Boise State and South Carolina, the Bulldogs won 10 games in a row.

Coach Mark Richt received so many criticisms when the Bulldogs were 0-2. There were even rumors that his job is in jeopardy and that he will be out of the season if he will not turn this team around. Richt did exactly what the school wants and the team has a chance to win the SEC title. It never came to anyone of the football spectators that Georgia Bulldogs are in this title game.

Georgia flourishes because of the presence of quarterback Aaron Murray who already accumulated 2698 yards of passing with 32 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Without a doubt Murray moves the chain with his passing ability against the defense of any team. Yet, it is interesting to find out how he will play over the tight defense of LSU.

In the previous game against Georgia Tech, Murray completed 19 of 29 passes for 252 yards. He solidly brought life to the offensive attacks of the Bulldogs to succumb the defense fo the Georgia Tech.

In that game Orson Charles caught five passes for 95 yards while Tavarres King added three receptions for 33 yards. Chris Conley caught two times for 29 yards while Michael Bennet caught two times for 20 yards.

Georgia also possesses a defense that can play significantly against Tigers offense. The Bulldogs are fifth in total defense yielding 271.1 yards per game while 10th in scoring with 17.8 a game.

If Georgia has to beat the top-ranked Tigers, the defense must play aggressively taking the opportunities to give the football to the offense. Furthermore, Murray must explode against LSU defense.
