After two weeks of absence for the English Premier League, Liverpool vs Manchester United showdown at the Anfield on Saturday. Without a doubt millions of people are eager to see how the Man United will pull this victory as the pressure from other teams chasing them continues to elevate.

Manchester United is tied with Manchester City on top of the table with 19 points each after seven games played. Surprisingly, Liverpool stands fifth in the standings with 13 points.

Liverpool will have a roster that can possibly make the Red Devils to work hard on both sides of the floor. Fabio Aurelio, Martin Kelly and Glen Johnson will probably be back and it it gives Kenny Dalglish all the opportunities to fill in his players on the floor with many options.

Of course Liverpool will be glad for the return of Steven Gerrard as he brings enough energy to instigate his team to play well. His leadership will provide the necessary lift for the Liverpool to stay focus on the game against a tough opponent.

Liverpool must play to win the game with determination and will. It is not what the people think about the Red Devils, but it how Liverpool will respond in critical moments, when the game is on the line.

The expectations soar for the Liverpool fans as the players will try to navigate through the thick cloud-like defense of Manchester United. If Liverpool can manage this game to make it a draw, they are successful in taming the fiery offensive attacks of Manchester United.

Man United is known to be the strongest team this season but we all know that they can lose games if they will relax. Man Utd needs to have total domination in this game to set the tone and to send message to the rest of the English Premier League.

Manchester United already scored a whooping 24 goals and allowing only five for the opponents. That staggering numbers show that this team is for real and is for the highest prize only.

We all know that Alex Ferguson has prepared his team for this game and that they want to stay on top until the end. However, maintaining the sharpness can only be done by playing the whole game with aggressiveness.

Ferguson’s team has the talent necessary to beat any teams. It has the flexibility in speed and power for total domination. One of the players that Man United can rely to in key fixture is Patrice Evra. He has the courage to make his presence felt and to assist the midfielders and strikers of Manchester United. He is one of the key components for the success of Manchester Utd in this game.

One of the big acquisitions for Manchester United was Ashley Young from Aston Villa. In the previous games, he knows his part of the game and he is the player that can play with Wayne Rooney as striker. Young already drilled in two goals in the EPL while scoring four in the international scene. He knows how to elude his defenders and his knowledge of the game helps him to make his name known in the Manchester United roster.

One of Ferguson’s arsenal is Nani who has the skills in keeping up the fast pace that the defenders couldn’t follow. He has the power and speed to be a great problem for the opponents.
