Knicks vs Raptors: Game Time, TV Coverage, Jeremy Lin co-exists with Amare?

New York craze continues as Jeremy Lin and the Knicks will visit Toronto Raptors in the most anticipated basketball game of the day because of the return of Amare Stoudemire in the lineup. The question being asked is about the chemistry of the Knicks with Stoudemire as he was out in the last four games.

Lin who entered the Knicks into a buzz when he convincingly led his team into a five streak win as he performed in the highest level of basketball with an average score of 28.6 points and 8.0 assists per game. Lin became an instant player celebrity in New York as he turned the city into what is called now “Linsanity”. He significantly altered the course of the Knicks from being downed despite their two super stars Carmelo Anthony and Stoudemire. He gives life to coach Mike D’Antoni’s tenure as the coach of the Knicks while before the emergence of Lin, D’Antoni was in the hotseat.

Because of Lin’s presence with the team in the last five games, the Knicks focal point has been on him and not Stoudemire or Anthony. In tonight’s game against the Raptors, Stoudemire will be in the roster and of course he will be starting with Lin. The success of Lin bringing victories was due to his passing ability primarily and secondly his scoring. He knows exactly when to take the ball into the hoop and when to pass the ball that deliver the blows against their opponents. He made crucial points against the Lakers and Minnesota last Friday and Saturday respectively the converted into wins.

Lin also provided hope to his teammates as they were instigated to play well with such aggressiveness. All his teammates are contributing enough because Lin spreads the ball well. This team is alive as the players are getting involved. Now that Amare is back, will the spirit of generosity be still in the blood of other players? According to many, Stoudemire can co-exist with Lin because he loves the pick-and-roll. As a matter of fact, in the first game of Lin, Stoudemire scored 17 points. Stoudemire will be the happy guy for he has now a legitimate passer.

Carmelo? Not now as he still is in the bence because of injury. But many are telling that Anthony is more a type of player who needs not to get the pass. He is more of an individual player that Lin will sure be affected in his scoring. It is still in the hands of coach D’Antoni to make the necessary judgment that pertains to the Knicks.

Meanwhile, the Raptors continue to struggle as the record shows 9-20. Andrea Bargnani stays as the center of the offense of the Raptors averaging 23.4 points per game. He also controls the boards and that he will have a chance to deny Lin in driving into the basket. Though the Raptors lack the firepower in this game, they can still play basketball and win this game.

It is a matter for the Raptors to defend Lin everytime he is in the lineup. This is a great test for the Raptors to make the right moves in dispatching the Knicks at home. New York Knicks vs Toronto Raptors Game Time is at 7:00 PM ET. We will provide you the Knicks vs Raptors here. TV coverage is on MSG and TSN.
