Knicks vs Hornets: An end to Linsanity approaches?

The Linsanity “fever” continues to cloud over New York. Surely, there’s no other hype compared to what happens to the Knicks as they maneuver to become a contender in the NBA through the presence of unknown Jeremy Lin.

Who can put a stop on Linsanity? Neither the Lakers nor Raptors cut the thread that connects the Knicks and Linsanity. It is the chance of the New Orleans Hornets to deny the Knicks for another victory as Lin emerges in the line up. Some observers believe that Carmelo Anthony might be the person who can destroy Linsanity. What a position Anthony is in and he will be blamed to be part of the end of Linsanity if ever the Knicks lose a game that he is a part of the roster.

Lin thrives in the offensive system of coach Mike D’Antoni because of the open court assault that he used during his tenure in the Suns with Steve Nash. What a month for Lin as he tries to be the Steve Nash of the Knicks in this offense. Furthermore, it is apparent that Lin has the amazing toughness and passing skills to be the point guard that the Knicks are looking for. Feeding up other players an be the main reason of Lin in the Knicks uniform but his additional arsenal which is his shooting ability played important part in his games as he took baskets especially on crunchtimes.

What Jeremy Lin did is to rekindle the fire on the Knicks players that it became a wildfire to all as everybody now is involved in the game. It has been a wildfire that he ignited that is currently hovering around the world. A wildfire that is about to continue and that no team can contain. Even Amare Stoudemire is being the primary beneficiary of the existence of Lin as the point guard. The pick-and-roll will be applied anytime for Amare to score points like the way he did in his first five years in the NBA.

Lin also inspired his teammates to play with such determination and will no matter how they are limited to time that the coach allowed them to. It is a testimony which a player who was just on the bench to possess joy of being a part of the winnig formula of the team. The New York Knicks as a team has been the center of basketball world as of the moment because of Lin.

It is no longer Stoudemire or Anthony that will make this team alive. A name called “Linsanity” will be the focal point of the Knicks as they try to make into the playoffs. Lin also provided life to D’Antoni as a coach for he received so much negative publicity when the Knicks were losing games. D’Antoni should be thankful that Lin sparked the whole team to be united for a cause.

After winning seven consecutive games with or without Stoudemire, the question that is being asked right now is how the whole team will accept the presence of superstar Anthony who is known for taking too many shots that sometimes discourage his teammates. Can Anthony be a part of the success of Lin or can he be the reason for the fire to subside. The importance of Anthony in the team must be cherished but it seems that at this moment he is not needed to be the same player that he was before Lin rises to the spotlight.

If Anthony will be in the line up of the Hornets vs Knicks, then the whole basketball world has to find out if he can help Lin to prove the case that he can mingle with anybody.

Hornets ride from two straight games victory and they are a hot team that can make Linsanity to stop for a while. A game for the Hornets to win so that the complete buzz about Lin will have to subside temporarily.
