Florida State versus Notre Dame Score: Nigel Bradham’s interception turns Seminoles lead

EJ Manuel threw a go ahead touchdown pass to Rashard Greene at the start of the fourth quarter as the Florida Seminoles captured the lead, 18-14 in the fourth quarter over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with 8:03 left.

Before the play, Nigel Bradham intercepted Andrew Hendrix for the Seminoles to get the football to their advantage. The crowd was surprised by the turning of events in the Champs Sports Bowl as Florida State seized the lead in a game that the Fighting Irish have all the control in the first three quarters.

Manuel has completed 19 of 28 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns. The touchdowns occured at the end of the third quarter and at the start of the fourth quarter. However, the Seminoles tried both for two point conversations but failed to score. Manuel has been in a total perfection as he didn’t commit any mistakes so far.

Leading in the receiving for the Seminols is Rashad Greene who already has 99 yards in five receptions including a touchdown. Greene is an important player for the Seminoles to spread the offense. Kenny Shaw added 66 yards in four catches while Rodney Smith has 34 yards in four catches also.

In a game that is expected to be mostly defensive, the Sports Champs Bowl 2011 will be attractive in the last 8:30 minutes of the game.

On the other hand, Notre Dame looks to be back quickly as the team focuses on the offensive side. It has been a terrible move for the coaching staff to alternate two quarterbacks. Tommy Rees completed 12 of 20 passes for 111 yards, one touchdown and one interception while Andrew Hendrix has 24 yards in 3 of 7 passing.

The Fighting Irish has the control of the game but eventually in those mistakes the Seminoles are back in the game. Michael Floyd has five catches for 41 yards and Tyler Eifert has 62 yards in four catches.
