Meanwhile Ben Roethlisberger completed 5 of 6 passes for 76 yards as he navigates against the tight defense of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Steelers vs Chiefs football showdown draws the attention of the football spectators because of the significance of the game. Pittsburgh is in a fight for the battle in the AFC North as they trail the Ravens but has a game a half game ahead of the Bengals.
Defending AFC Champion Steelers are looking to make the necessary win so that they can keep up in their division. Also, it is not only a race in the AFC North but also for a wildcard berth. With teams aiming for the two wildcard spots, it is just important for the Steelers to be one of the spots just in case they fail to overthrow the Ravens in their division.
The conversation in the the past days was about quarterback’s Ben Roethlisberger injured thumb that could alter the way he throws the football in tonight’s Sunday Night Football. Big Ben must contribute for the offense of the Steelers if he wants to be back in the AFC playoffs picture again. Roethlisberger knows how important the next six games of the regular season for this stretch will determine if they have enough to catch the Ravens.
Before the bye week, Roethlisberger led the Steers in a 24-17 victory against Bengals as he completed 21 of 33 passes for 245 yards with a touchdown and one interception.
Antonio Brown caught five passes for 86 yards while Mike Wallace caught six catches for 54 yards as they helped Roethlisberger to have an easy night in delivering his passes.
For the Kansas City Chiefs, they are struggling after that four consecutive victories. Still the possibility of being in the playoff is alive but they suffered tremendous blow when Matt Cassel was injured and he will not be able to start. This is the major concern of the Chiefs and they will start with Tyler Palko who couldn’t make the right passes against the Patriots last week.
Palko didn’t impress the coaching staff in that game against the Patriots but he will still be the starter in this game. Though the Chiefs made a move by claiming Kyle Orton off waivers on Wednesdday. He still will not start but it will not be a surprise at all if he will play in this game especially if Palko will not deliver the necessary passes.
