Celtics vs Bulls: Derrick Rose status

Battle of the beasts of the East. Goliath vs Goliath, who’s gonna win? Linsanity took over in the past two weeks but never forget about Rosanity in Chicago. Yet another gigantic showdown that matters to all awaits the Boston Celtics vs Chicago Bulls. The stake is high for the Celtics as they travel to the United Center in an ultimate purpose of dismantling the Bulls.

Without Derrick Rose in Chicago’s uniform, it would still be impossible for the Bulls to beat the Celtics wherever they will be playing. Rose is the primary weapon of the Bulls in order for the team to be successful. Rose status is a game time decision as he will about to miss his fourth consecutive games. Nonetheless, the offense of the Bulls will not convert into a winning chance at all. Rose remains to be seen if he recovered from back injury.

In last Sunday’s game between these two teams, Rose didn’t play and the Celtics overpowered them in a 95-91 defeat. However, it was not a total dominance by the Celtics as the Bulls fought as they never missed Rose at all. However, the Bulls couldn’t find any player that can carry them especially in crucial points. The fact of the matter is that the Bulls can win games without Rose as they have a 6-2 record. Furthermore, the Bulls have to get accustom of not having Rose in the lineup and that they have adjusted to their game plans in the past just to cover the position of Rose.

But it is important to note the Bulls may not have enough to beat a powerhouse team like the Celtics. Bulls miss the 22 points average of Rose while suffering from the best option. Because of Rose importance of the game, the Bulls have to rely on Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. In their previous encounter against the Kings, Deng contributed 23 points and 11 assists that he emerged to show that he can make the most of it without Rose. Moreover, Noah added 22 points and 11 rebounds to make the significant help just for the Bulls to win.

Another player that can help the Bulls to make have the best of the Bulls is Carlos Boozer who can make the difference for the Bulls. Boozer, Deng, Noah are the component of the Chicago Bulls to have a chance to beat the Celtics. It is up to the Bulls to play with cohesiveness without minding about Rose playing the game or not. Rose is very important but the Bulls will have a chance to win with the other three players.

As for the Boston Celtics, many observers that their time have been over two years ago and that age is catching up on their players like Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. This means that the troika of the Celtics is no longer a factor in dismantling other teams in the Eastern Conference. Garnett’s peak has passed by him and that he can no longer be part of the dominance of the Celtics. Garnett has to keep up with Noah or Boozer in this game and that he must outperform any of them for the Celtics to have a chance to win the game.

Moreover, Pierce game is declining in the eyes of the people as it dwindles to 10 points a game in the last three meetings. He has not been consistent in the last games that he needs to play to the highest level for the Celtics to be competitive. Also, Allen may still have the sharpness in his shooting that he has also to show up big against the Bulls.

The biggest player for the Celtics as of now is no other than Rajon Rondo. He played well in the previous two games with 32 and 35 points as he continues to derail the opponents’ defense through his speed and strength in driving to the basket.
