Eli Manning drilled in a 37 yard touchdown to Hakeem Nicks to distance the Giants against the Packers 20-10 in the first half of the NFC Divisional Playoff game. Manning already completed 14 of 24 passes for 274 yards to exploit the defense of the Packers. He threw two touchdowns to Nicks as the Giants continue to dominate the top ranked Packers.

Nicks already caught five times for a whooping 152 yards that included the 66-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter and the 37-yard at the end of the second quarter. Nicks has been extricating himself from the Packers defense that couldn’t keep up with the surprise offensive package of the Giants. Victor Cruz also caught three catches for 46 yards as the Giants have the edge in the passing game.

On the other hand, the Packers offense has been stagnant though it can explode anytime with Aaron Rodgers as the anchor. Rodgers completed 12 of 21 passes for 117 yards with only a touchdown. He is being harassed and pressured by the Giants defense that he struggled most of the time. The passing game of the Packers is being tamed by the Giants defense that it couldn’t be the same like the way people expected it to be.

Alabama Crimson Tide pulled off a dominating performance against the LSU Tigers as they capture the BCS National Championship Game through their mounted defense. Showing to the world that the Crimson Tide has the No 1 defense in the country shutting down the offense of Tigers most of the game.

Jeremy Shelly kicked 5 of 7 field goals midway through the fourth quarter as the Crimson Tide moved the chain slowly but couldn’t also find the redzone. However, Alabama was persistent in pursuing the receivers of the Tigers as well as their quarterback Jordan Jefferson who completed 10 of 42 passes and he fumbled the ball at 6:12 left in the fourth quarter. Jefferson couldn’t shake the defense of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama knew that LSU has the rushing defense that could be difficult to derail that the Crimson Tide went on the passing game. AJ McCarron completed 23 of 34 passes for 234 yards with six minutes left in the game. McCarron continued to make the passes early from the first quarter and the he also hasn’t make the mistake yet.

Trent Richardson also made some damage to make the offense more powerful for the Crimson Tide. Kevin Norwood, Darius Hanks and Brad Smelly were the reliable receivers of the the Crimson Tide. With the tight defense of Alabama, this is another ring for Nick Saban as he guided this team for a great gameplan.

Surely the Badgers played into the hands of the Oregon Ducks as the tempo was so fast not suited for the Badgers.

Darron Thomas was steady in connecting the passes as he completed 17 of 23 for 268 yards. He threw eight passes to Lavasier Tuinei for 158 yards, four passes to Thomas for 34 yards, two passes to Kenjon Barner for 52 yards, and two passes fo Josh Huff for 14 yards. As expected, the navigated through the defense of the Wisconsin Badgers and he made the difference in the fourth quarter.

Wisconsin Badgers luck in the Rose Bowl was not evident as they falter in the fourth. Monte Ball rushed for 164 yards in 32 carries while James White rushed eight times for 30 yards as the Badgers looked more on the run but it wasn’t enough. Oregon Ducks proved that they have the defense to stop the Badgers when the game is on the line.

In what a silent start from the Oklahoma State, Brandon Weeden changes gear to catch the Cardinal as he threw two touchdowns in the second quarter, both on Justin Blackmon. A 43 yard touchdown pass and a 67 yard pass tied the game for the the Oklahoma State Cowboys. An explosion in the offense as Weeden already completed 11 of 16 passes for 199 yards.

Stephan Taylor already rushed for 66 yards in eight carries that helps the cause for the Cardinal to confuse the defense of the Cowboys. While the Stewart himself has 58 yards on the ground.

In what is anticipated to be a high scoring game it looks like the offenses are rusty enough that the defense of the Cardinals are keeping the Cowboys scoreless. It is amazing how the Cardinals are completely shutting down the pass and also the rush. It is making statement early in the game that they can play the bigger and stronger team Oklahoma State.

The Georgia Bulldogs have a 10 game winning streak after losing the first two games. However, the Bulldogs were overpowered by the LSU Tigers in the SEC championship game 42-10. After leading 10-0, the Bulldogs couldn’t understand how in the world LSU scored 42 points.

Georgia started the season in disarray prompting talks about coach Richt end of the road in coaching. However, the team regrouped and eventually they found themselves in a game for the SEC title. Absolutely, quarterback Aaron Murray will not be facing a tough defense like the Tigers but the Spartans are fifth in the nation in allowing 272 yards per game. Murray completed 16 of 40 passes for 163 yards, with two interceptions in that championship game. He cannot allow that to happen if his team will win this game.
