Cardinals vs Ravens: Baltimore bounces back?

Baltimore has to bounce back from that disappointing defeat from the Jaguars last Monday. Ravens defense was consistent but there’s something wrong with the offensive game.

It was an anemic offense for the Ravens with only seven points at the scoreboard in that loss against the Jaguars. Surely, the Ravens suffered so much criticisms from the experts and the fans alike about their performance in that Monday Night Football.

Ravens accumulated only 146 yards of total offense that shocked the football world in which quarterback Joe Flacco completed 21 of 38 passes for only 137 yards. He played without fire in orchestrating the offense of the Ravens. Furthermore, his 90 yards came from his fourth quarter drive that enabled the Ravens to score a touchdown.

It was a bad day for the Ravens as the team accumulated only 16 yards in the first half. It was a total defensive domination by the Jaguars that the Ravens couldn’t provide the necessary score in that game. Because of Flacco’s dismal game and the entire offense of the Ravens, Baltimore must make the adjustments in this game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach John Harbaugh must find ways to improve the offense as the Baltimore Ravens dropped out of first place in the AFC North. Offensive coordinator was criticized for letting Ray Rices to carry only eight times for 28 yards total gains.

It was obvious that the Ravens struggled in that game but this is the moment for themselves for redemption. A game against Arizona will be great start to fix all things so that the team will play better in the future.

Yes, we found out that the Ravens Super Bowl type defense is not sufficient to win games if the offense can’t move the chains. It would be interesting to find out how the Ravens will have another impressive game.

Baltimore has the best defense in the NFL as it showed against the Jaguars by not allowing a touchdown. Also, that defense gave up only 205 total yards. This means that the defense couldn’t win games when the offense couldn’t be aggressive.

For the Arizona Cardinal, this will be again a tough day to face the Baltimore Ravens. Arizona still couldn’t find the right combination to be back in the same caliber as of two years ago when Kurt Warner was the quarterback.

Quarterback Kevin Kolb still is playing in a low level football game. He had thrown seven interceptions with only five touchdowns in the last five games. Because of his low key performances, the Cardinals were defeated in all those games.

In the previous game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kolb completed 18 of 34 passes for 272 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He managed to locate his receivers but it wasn’t enough for the team to match the scoring machine of the Steelers. Kolb will have to navigate this time against the mounted defense of the Baltimore Ravens.

In the receiving end, Larry Fitzgerald caught four passes for 78 yards, Larod Stephens-Howling had two catches for 76 yards, and Early Daucet had five catches for 30 yards.

Kolb has his receivers but he must lead this team into victory. It would be great to seem him successful against the Baltimore Ravens. Kolb has to assert himself early in the game to show to the world that he deserves to be the starting quarterback of the Cardinals.

This is a must see game because the Cardinals will try to make an upset against one of the toughest teams in the NFL. Cardinals vs Ravens kickoff time is at 1:00 PM ET. Cardinals vs Ravens live tv coverage is on Fox Channel. Cardinals vs Ravens score is available here after the game!
