Hard to imagine how the Cougars were a team work in progress until they reached the peak of their chemistry in the football field.

Tulsa is not bad either. The Golden Hurricane can pride themselves being beaten by teams that were in the top 10. Tulsa also cherished the truth that they were riding in a stretch of seven consecutive wins until Houston beat them in the last game finale. A team with running and passing option can always play the Cougars in the Armed Forces Bowl.

The BYU Cougars finished the season finale winning at Hawaii, 41-20. In this game quarterback Riley Nelson explode with a 25 of 37 passes for 363 yards that includes three touchdowns. His remarkable performance described how the Cougars have managed to mature in the process of time. It is up to the Cougars to execute the game plan against the Golden Hurricane. With the high-powered offensive attack of BYU, it will not be enough because they will be facing a better offensive team. Cougars defense must show up to stop the balance offense of Tulsa.

Tulsa is a team that can score quickly with the installed offense. As a team, Tulsa averages 450 yards a game that certainly can overwhelm the defense of the Cougars. This is a team that can play the pass and the run in their plays. Surely quarterback GJ Kinne will be the center of the offense of the Golden Hurricane as he completed 25 touchdowns, adding up to his weapons are his legs that can rush the ball. He rushed for 400 yards in the season. Also in the running game, never forget Ja’Terian Douglas who accumulated 884 yards while Trey Watts added 843 yards.

Tulsa is a team that is difficult to defend because of the passing and running options that can be executed perfectly. Yes, the Golden Hurricane has a record of 8-4 but they were beaten by Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Boise state, and then No 8 Houston.
