Boise State vs Arizona State Game Time, TV Channel: 5 Reasons to watch Maaco Bowl Las Vegas live
Boise State Broncos will settle for a lesser prize, the Maaco Bowl in Las Vegas, as the team failed to complete an undefeated season. BSU (11-1) also didn’t get the conference title even though it ranked seventh in the BCS Standings.
If the Broncos should’ve completed a perfect season, a certainty of a BCS game and a possible National title game. But everything went wrong when a 39 yard field goal was missed in that dramatic game against TCU. Without a doubt, that was the most expensive missed fieldgoal in college football this season. Have the Broncos forgotten that game?
Here are the five reasons to watch the Maaco Bowl 2011
1. Boise State’s statement. Boise State Broncos was snubbed in the BCS games but certainly they have to understand the rule that they should be the conference winner. TCU got that title. The Broncos will make a statement through this game that they deserve more than this. And that Maaco Bowl is not for the Broncos because they are a better team in college football. Expect the Broncos to show all the effort needed to dismantle Arizona State for this reason.
2. Kellen Moore. It may be the last time we see a quarterback who painted something that couldn’t be duplicated in the next decade. Moore will be forever remembered as the Broncos winningest quarterback. Not only that he is the winningest quarterback in the history of college football. His name will be etched out in the minds of the Broncos that this man had altered the history of the BSU football.
3. Broncos offense. As one of the most successful offense in the last four years, Boise State Broncos will have an opportunity once again to display the offense. Surely, the spread offense coupled with rushing options will absolutely gain yards against ASU defense. It’s great to see for the last time this offense being anchored by Moore. Of course the Broncos are prepared to use his successor but this is the time for Moore to cherish the moments of being one of the elite quarterbacks to ever played in college football.
4. Arizona State upset. Arizona State (6-6) was invited to play the Maaco Bowl. Don’t count Arizona State out of the conversation in making an upset. The team may have that record but they played in a bigger conference and more brutal schedule. The Wildcats can win games and they have the arsenal to beat the Broncos. An upset in the making is possible.
5. Dan Goodale. Probably the last time also for all to see dan kicker Dan Goodale. He missed two fieldgoals against TCU and the last one was his precious missed. Of course the Broncos fans want Goodale to be out of the game. But we all know that it happens in the game. Expect him to redeem himself once called when the game is on the line.
