BCS Standings Boise State chances getting better?

As the college football games unfolded, the Boise State Broncos have greater opportunity to be in the conversation of being in the National Championship despite slipping a spot in the BCS Standings.

As long as Boise State is undefeated and other undefeated teams falter, the Broncos have a higher chance of getting into the second spot. The defeats of Clemson and Kansas State. Broncos will wait for another undefeated teams in the next week to lose especially in the Alabama vs LSU game.

In this week’s BCS Standings, LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide stayed at No 1 and No 2 respectively after a bye week. Surely, one of them will not stay on top after next week’s game.

The gainer in the BCS Standing is Stanford jumping two spots while Oklahoma State remains on third place. Oklahoma State will have all the opportunities in the world to be in the National title by winning all the remaining games while Stanford must do the same.

Oklahoma State is No. 3 in the Harris poll and No. 4 in the coaches’ poll, and Stanford is No. 4 and No. 3. But the difference between the Cowboys (.9310 BCS average) and the Cardinal (.8615) is the computer ratings.

The game of the Cardinal against Oregon Ducks at home next week will absolutely provide them the lift in the BCS Standings. Cardinals almost lost the game against the USC that went into three over times.

According to experts, Cardinal may not catch Oklahoma State if both teams will go undefeated. It will be tough for Stanford to be in the national title because of their early weak schedule. However, their journey will start against the Oregon Ducks.

Meanwhile, everybody is looking forward in the biggest game of the year, No 1 LSU vs No 2 Alabama. The winner will surely have the advantage to go to the national title because of the schedule these two team have.

Boise State will be lucky if all these undefeated teams will falter at the end leaving the Broncos only the team without loss.

After a road game Saturday against Pac-12 rival Oregon State, the Cardinal play Oregon, eighth in the BCS standings, at home. They finish with California and Notre Dame at home, and could play in the Pac-12 championship, too — probably against Arizona State.
