The Houston Texans pulled off a 23-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. Quarterback Tom Savage completed 8 of 14 passes for 97 yards and one touchdown against no interceptions to lead the Texans. Ryan Mallet was sharp with 90 yards in 10 of 11 passes. Brian Hoyer threw for 67 yards and a touchdown in 2 of 4 passes.
In the receiving end, Cecil Shorts caught a 58-yard touchdown pass to lead the Texans. Chris Polk added 36 yards in three receptions while Khari Lee caught two passes for 27 yards. In rushing, Alfred Blue had 59 yards in nine attempts while Kenny Hilliard added 39 yards in 13 attempts.
