2012 Pro Bowl Score: Yards keep piling up
Tied at 28-28 after the first half, the Pro Bowl 2012 meets the expectations that it will be a high scoring football game as history dictates it. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger drilled in 6 of 11 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns to start for the AFC while Aaron Rogers countered with 13 of 17 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
Because both defenses are playing lax, the offense of both teams are gaining significant yards. Philip Rivers added 190 yards in 11 of 19 passes while for the NFC Drew Brees had 10 of 14 passes for 146 yards, both have two touchdowns each as the yards soared for both teams. Surely, these four quarterbacks shared the spotlight and it is amazing to watch Rogers and Brees in the same team.
There’s an explosion in the receiving end as Brandon Marshall cought two touchdown passes for 102 yards as he is the leader in the most yards and touchdowns caught in the Pro Bowl 2012. Antonio Gates caught three passes for 67 yards and a touchdown for the AFC team. Vincent Jackson also has 63 yards in four catches.
For the NFC Larry Fitzgerald has four receptions for 70 yards, with two touchdowns. Jimmy Graham added 74 yards in five catches and one touchdown. Not that much on the rushing game so far and expect it to be more on the passing game.
If you are looking for Tom Brady and Eli Manning in this Pro Bowl 2012, they are not playing as they prepare for the Super Bowl 46. Since the Pro Bowl was moved before the Super Bowl, the two teams that are in the biggest game are not playing though they are included in the selection of the Pro Bowl 2012 roster. Brady should be the starting quarterback in the AFC if Patriots are not in the Super Bowl.
