2012 PGA The US Masters Leaderboard: Louis Oosthuizen atop, Phil Mickelson chases
It’s a miracle! It’s a destiny! What a double eagle. Yes, it was an unbelievable shot by Louis Oosthuizen in the second hole to immediately grabbed the PGA US Masters leaderboard from 7-under to 10-under par. Oosthuizen is the most consistent golfer as of the moment and he is ready to withstand the pressure coming from the chasers.
Oosthuizen was so elated when that double eagle went in as the crowd cheered and roared for him. All the viewers were amazed by the impossibility of that par 5 hole that will probably be the key hole if he will be able to to win the Masters tournament 2012. Because of his second hole alone, the tide has changed for all the golfers as they were hit by a lightning. However, Oosthuizen still struggles along the way as he birdied the fourth and 10th holes to make his score back to 8-under par for the tournament enough to have him the PGA Masters Leaderboard 2012 temporarily.
On the other hand, Phil Mickelson faded in a wink of an ey as he had a triple bogey in the fourth hole that eventually made him awful. The he got back a shot by drilling in a birdie in the eight hole, still he bacame one of the golfers chasing Oosthuizen. Mickelson is known for his bad decisions in most of the tournaments that he lost, he did it again today that will cause him the title. Instead of being on top, he has to make some risky attacks in the next eight holes to capture the Masters Leaderboard 2012.
Bubba Watson knows what happened in the second hole but he stayed relax as he laboriously worked on his putts and shots. He birdied the second and fifth hole that that he is currently 1-under par for the day after 10 holes, 7-under par for the tournament and a 1 stroke deficit from the PGA Masters Leaderboard 2012. It will be tense in the next holes as he has the opportunity to capture the title. Watson currently is playing better and he has to seize the opportunity given to him in the remaining holes.
Third Round Leader Peter Hanson also struggled in the first 10 holes as he birdied the first and third holes. He hit all the rest of the holes by putting pars. Hanson still can be the winner of this tournament if he will directly put his attention on his game and not what’s happening on his surroundings. Just one shot shy of the Masters Leaderboard 2012 and he can still sneak through.
Matt Kuchar is just three strokes behind the PGA leaderboard and he will surely take the opportunity if given him the chance to putt for birdies. Kuchar is 1-under par for the day after 12 holes, 6-under par for the Masters tournament. He knows how to tackle this situation and he will surely be willing to take calculated risks in the remaining holes just to win this title.
Another player that is shining is Lee Westwood with currently 2-under for the final round after the 15th. Westwood smells that he can pull this over and that he will take his chances of being on top of the Masters Leaderboard at the end of the day. Ian Poulter also is doing the damage by hitting 4-under par for the day with three holes remaining, currently he is 6-under for the tournament.
The biggest gainer in the final round so far is Adam Scott who shot 6-under par, 4-under par for the tournament. Scott put himself on the top 10 of the Masters Leaderboard as he had great scores. He had six birdies, a rare eagle on a par 3 16th hole that catapulted his standings in the Masters Tournament. Though he bogeyed the fourth and fifth holes, he is happy with what transpired for him today.
Who is the Winner of the Masters 2012? We will about to find out in the next hour as the golfers will be jumping into the Masters Leaderboard. For Tigers Woods, he didn’t make noise today as he finished 5-over par for the entire tournament.
