2012 Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs Oklahoma State Game Time TV Channel, Highlights
Seize the moments. Intensify the offense. Create something out of nothing with Andrew Luck! Stanford Cardinal may not have won the Pac 12 conference but they are in one of the BCS games. It is just because of luck or quarterback Luck?
Stanford will always question why the team was not selected to be in the National Championship game. It is the same argument that the Oklahoma State Cowboys can make being the champion of Big 12 Conference. Cardinal losing to the Oregon Ducks, and Cowboys failing to beat the unranked Iowa State allowed the other teams to be in the biggest game. What if they have a perfect record? Probably they are in the BCS National title game or one of them meeting the LSU Tigers.
In the college football world, Stanford showed that the high-powered and uncharacteristic offense will always bring them into success. But the center of the offense wil always be quarterback Luck who maintains the poise and composure in anchoring this offense. Luck accumulated 3,170 yards of passing, 35 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions. With his passing ability, he is expected to play his last college game and go into the NFL draft. He is projected to be the No 1 pick in the NFL draft this season.
Luck has some companions in the offense as Griff Whalen posted 664 yards in receptions while tight end Coby Fleener added 648 yards. These two receivers will play big roles in the Fiesta Bowl 2012 against Oklahoma State. Whalen and Fleener can separate themselves from their defenders and they can leap high enough to catch the ball.
The Stanford Cardinal is not only about passing for they can also play the rushing game. Stephan Taylor can rush the ball as he attempted 207 times for 1,153 yards. Backing up in the running game of the Cardinal is Tyler Gaffney who has 445 yards of rushing with seven touchdowns. The duo can alter the defensive game of the Oklahoma State.
Stanford will have to make the defensive adjustments if they want to win this Fiesta Bowl 2012. If they win this game, then they can climb as high as No 2 at the end of the season. Without a doubt, Stanford is ready for a shootout in offense against the Cowboys. Yes, this is a great matchup for Cardinal and the team can expect a better game from Andrew Luck.
For the Oklahoma State, shy of few votes to ranked second in the BCS Standings, will have to treat this Fiesta Bowl as the National title game. This is a game which they can showcase their offensive capability. Averaging 49 points per game, the Cowboys offense can make the difference against the Cardinal defense.
Brandon Weeden threw for 4,328 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions to anchor this offense. Weeden is one of the quarbacks that can lead his team into winning. In hte receiving end Blackmon is the primary target who caught 113 times for 1,336 yards while Moore totaled for 672 yards. Also in the rushing game is Randle who has 1,193 on the ground with 23 touchdowns. Smith has 645 in 90 carries.
Fiesta Bowl 2012 will be an offensive shootout that requires both teams defenses to win this game. Fiesta Bowl start time is at 8:30 PM ET. TV Channel is on ESPN.
