I think it’s safe to say American Idol has officially “Jumped The Shark” and America, sorry, but your all insane. Why do you even watch this show? There’s maybe three contestants that have a snowballs chance of making the finale so why bother? The talent pool is so short of talent it’s pathetic and the fact someone with marginal skills like Sanjaya (who is obviously less serious than Chris Sligh was and will never amount to anything worthwhile in the music industry) manages to hang around or better yet is allowed to hang around while others like Gina or Stephanie, hell even Chris S. are sent packing, is absurd.

Personally I think this season signals the end for Idol, with ratings slipping every week, the other networks better be paying attention because Goliath has peaked and next year will be the time to attack. Considering the crap we have for talent this year next year looks positively horrible.

The bottom three this week is Phil, Gina and Haley. No real surprise there. Sanjaya is safe (thanks to the morons out there that think they’re being funny). By rights, it should be Phil going home, he was the worst of the three and has been consistently bad week after week. But no, America is whacked out on something and Phil’s safe, leaving Gina and Haley on the chopping block. Ok, so then it should be Haley right? While not bad she’s not the strongest of the lot either so of the two she should be out right? No, wrong again. Gina is sent home. How screwed up is that?

Next week J-Lo coaches the top 8 and guess what, she’s a Fanjaya. Go ahead and count on him not being in the bottom three again and someone else that’s more deserving will be going home as this train barrels out of control to an uncertain doom.
