There’s exciting news on greyanatomynews.com via Digital Spy that is definitely worth noting. According to Spy, a spinoff series of ABC’s hit medical drama is in the work and Kate Walsh will be the star.

The paper claimed today that the spinoff drama would be centred on the character Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, played by Kate Walsh. It added that a two hour pilot, to be written by Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes, could air as early as May.

Second only to American Idol, Grey’s Anatomy is one of the most watched shows on television and this will no doubt be good news for Grey’s fans. It’ll be even better news for Addison fans (YES!!!) According to insiders the show is planning a possible two hour episode sometime as early as May to introduce the new series.  Shonda Rimes the current writer will also write for the new series.
