If you were too busy playing with Christmas gifts and gadgets last week to catch the news that George Lucas and Steven Spielburg announced they would begin filming the fourth installment of the of the Indiana Jones franchise in June of 2007, then let this be notice to you, dig out that old whip and hat, because it looks like it’s definitely coming. The script is being prepared by David Koepp (Spider-Man and War of the Worlds) and Harrison Ford will reprise his role. I guess he feels if Stallone can do it, he can too. Paramount is targeting a release sometime in 2008.
Ford will once again reprise his role as the adventuring archeologist in the next film. The 64-year-old actor assured fans that he is up to the physical demands of the role. “I’m delighted to be back in business with my old friends,” Ford said. “I don’t know if the pants still fit, but I know the hat will.”
